About the Mattress:

The Relyon Balmoral pocketed spring is made up of 2000 hand nested pocketed springs using centre tying, along with sumptuous layers of luxury lamb’s wool, traditional hair, cotton and an anti allergenic layer . The mattress is hand-tufted and has woollen rosettes as well as having hand 3 rows of hand side stitching on the borders. The mattress is further enhanced with silver+ protection which combats and dramatically reduces microbial growth providing a fresh and hygienic fabric. The mattress is available in soft, medium or firm tension and is fully turnable. It comes with Relyon’s 8 year guarantee.

  • 2000 Pocket Springs – Individual springs are wrapped in a fabric pocket and then glued or stitched together. By connecting the fabric pockets together but not the individual springs, it allows for free movement of the springs. This free movement of springs allows for complete tailored support for each sleeper with no motion transfer and is often considered a superior spring system. Each pressure point is supported and your weight evenly distributed as each pocket spring contours to your shape offering unrivalled support and comfort.
  • Centre Tying – Relyon use a method that sets them apart from other manufacturers called Centre tying. This method allows each individual spring to work more independently from its neighbours than other mattresses manufacturers pocket spring mattresses whilst also being much more durable. Whereas other manufacturers tend to use glue to connect the springs, a method which restricts the independence of each spring and can be subject to tearing and breaking down faster. Relyon holds the rows of springs together by a very strong cord that runs from one end of the mattress together giving it more precision with regards to contouring and longer life.
  • Lambswool – Since lambswool comes from young sheep, it is the softest wool that will ever come from the sheep since it comes from the sheep’s first shearing. It’s extremely downy and soft to the touch. As well as this, lambswool shares many of the same traits as regular wool such as it being breathable, while also being a natural insulator; naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites & naturally water repellent and moisture-wicking.
  • Traditional Hair – Softer and smoother than wool, traditional hair’s silky texture gives it a more luxurious feel. Its fibres are soft to the touch yet light and strong whilst sharing the beneficial properties of wool but with added sumptuousness.
  • Cotton – A durable material yet soft to the touch and highly absorbent allowing for great moisture wicking keeping you cool and dry whilst sleeping especially on hot nights.
  • Silver+ Anti Allergy Protection – Silver+ is an anti-bacterial protection. Silver+ is a coating based on microparticles of silver ions. Silver+ combats and dramatically reduces microbial growth providing a fresh and hygienic fabric.
  • Hand Tufted – Fabric tufts are evenly distributed along the mattress surface, tufts hold the inner loose fillings in position. These fabric tufts help prolong the mattress’s life, making sure loose fillings don’t clump together or shift around.
  • 3 Rows of Hand Side Stitching – Often used on quality pocket spring mattresses, a cord is passed through multiple entry points along the side of the mattress securing the pocket springs the mattress border. This technique means no bulging will occur and no metal rod will be needed to secure the springs as this can limit the movement of the springs. Multiple rows of side stitching can be used depending on the size and quality of the mattress. This is a difficult technique done by hand and improves edge to edge support.
  • 8 Year Guarantee – The item purchased will be fixed or replaced free of charge during the period quoted on the guarantee when purchased. This means if you buy a new bed and a month down the line it somehow ends up with a broken drawer this will be replaced or fixed free of charge by the manufacturer.

Don’t want to get up in the morning now. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Great bed.
