These terms and conditions only apply to web site sales.
All prices are in £ sterling and inclusive of VAT. Delivery charges may apply dependent on the order value and location in the UK. Any exceptions will be clearly marked on the website where relevant. Prices may be subject to change without notice, but we will only alter the price after we have confirmed your order, if it is to your benefit.
Whilst this website is designed with UK customers in mind, we welcome enquiries from customers in other countries. Prices include UK Sales Tax (VAT), currently at 20%, which may not be payable by international customers; however, additional delivery charges will usually apply. Please contact us and we will do our best to assist you further.
You may pay by any major credit card or debit card if ordering online or by telephone, or by cheque, UK postal order or money order if ordering by post. Please do not send money (notes and coins) in the post. We also accept payments via PayPal which can be selected when proceeding through to check out. If you choose to pay by cheque, your cheque will not be cashed before five working days prior to despatch of goods.
Items shown on this website may not always be in stock. If any of your chosen items is not in stock, you will be advised of our best estimate of availability and delivery date at the time you place your order. Please note that an indication of such dates is an estimate only, may be subject to change without notice, and does not constitute a contractual obligation by boldstreetbeds.co.uk to supply goods by a certain date. However, if availability is unduly delayed, we will use our best endeavours to keep you informed.

Accepting orders and security
When you place an order, either by telephone or in writing, we will treat it as an offer to buy. If we accept your order, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with your order number, at which point we make a legal contract with you. However, we will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if we feel it necessary, in which case we will e-mail you as soon as we can to let you know.
When you receive your e-mail confirmation, you will have an opportunity to check the details and correct any errors.
In deciding whether to accept your order we may use the information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we receive from any enquiry we may make with various agencies, to confirm your identity. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. If we decline your offer on security grounds we may contact you to seek an alternative payment method or to advise you to visit one of our stores.
Free next day delivery is available on stock items to anyone located anywhere within 40 miles of our warehouse at BB1 1HW.
We can deliver your new bed to anywhere in the UK* free of charge – please call to enquire about delivery to your area before ordering.
If your bed is not in stock delivery will typically take between 7-42 days depending on the manufacturer.
Our own fleet of vans operate 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday and each delivery is a two man service to the room of your choice.
Customers will receive a text message or phone call on the morning of the chosen delivery day with a one hour time slot.
Delivery is to the room of choice, and free installation applies to all mattresses, divan sets and headboards and bed frames.
Certain deliveries will be carried out by a 3rd party courier who will deliver to your room of choice, assemble your new bed if required and take your old bed or mattress away if requested upon ordering.
Please note, all bed frames delivered by our third party courier will be drop off only.

Cancellations & Returns
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason with the exception of shop soiled ex-display models and specially made orders such as custom sizes, fabrics and divan base configuration.
Your right to cancel is void if the purchased product has been taken out of it’s original packaging.

You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation – If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than – (a) 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or (b) (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or (c) if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. For goods which by their nature cannot be returned by post the cost is estimated at a maximum of approximately £100.
Goods which cannot be sent by post include mattresses, divans and bedsteads with multiple boxes.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
If you requested to begin the performance of services during the cancellation period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been performed until you have communicated us your cancellation from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
All goods are examined in detail by ourselves prior to despatch to ensure that they leave our warehouse in perfect condition. However, transit damage unfortunately can occur. If your purchase is showing obvious signs of transit damage upon delivery, please refuse to accept delivery and notify us immediately. If damage is only evident upon opening of packaging, then you must inform us within 48 hours of receipt. In either case, we will then arrange re-delivery of replacement goods as soon as possible.
Goods are fully guaranteed against faults in manufacture, materials or workmanship for a minimum period of 12 months from delivery dependent on the manufacturer. No warranty is made in respect of commercial rather than domestic use. If your goods develop a fault within 28 days of delivery, the goods may be returned for either refund in full, or replacement. Replacement only is offered after 28 days and before 12 months. These promises do not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse.
Sales on this web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit any dispute to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. All orders are subject to these terms and conditions and no amendments will be accepted by us. These terms and conditions do not affect your legal rights.
These terms and conditions only cover the Prestige Beds web site. Any other web sites to which you link from this site may be governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content of web sites which are not under our control.
We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that we do not file copies of customer contracts.
